Reliability & Automation (DevOps)

Updates guaranteed without service interruption.

ContextFor whom, why

Pushing new code to production shouldn't be a stressful event. The goal: every release goes through the same automatic checks, you can roll back if something breaks, and you know before the user when something's wrong.

For whom?

Teams and independents whose deployments are manual, risky or rare out of fear of breaking. Also for those who don't know what state their infrastructure would be in if it were to disappear.

What's includedWhat the engagement covers
  1. 01 /Code tested & approved before production
  2. 02 /Reproducible infrastructure
  3. 03 /Operating cost control
  4. 04 /Proactive monitoring & alerting
Tech stackTools I use
  • GitHub ActionsCI/CD pipelines
  • DockerReproducible containers
  • KubernetesContainer orchestration
  • HelmKubernetes packaging
  • TerraformInfrastructure as Code
  • AnsibleConfiguration automation
  • NginxReverse proxy & server
  • PrometheusMetrics & alerts

ApproachHow I work
  1. 01

Inventory of what's running, where, and with what risks

  2. 02

Automated pipelines fitted to your stack — not a generic template

  3. 03

Fully scripted and reproducible infrastructure — no invisible manual config

  4. 04

Monitoring set up to detect before the user does

Frequently asked questionsWhat I get asked the most
  • I have a small team — do I really need DevOps?
Not necessarily full DevOps. But once you deploy to production regularly, automating checks and deployment spares you a lot of stress and reduces incidents. The right level of investment depends on your team size and deployment frequency — we calibrate together.
  • What real savings can I expect on infrastructure?
On the SMBs I work with, I commonly observe 20 to 40% reduction on the cloud bill after audit and optimization. Main levers: hosting choice fit for actual needs, downsizing over-provisioned resources, removing unused paid services, properly configured caching and CDN.
  • How long does setup take?
For an SMB with a few servers, expect 2 to 4 weeks of initial setup, then a few days per month for follow-up and evolutions. For more complex infrastructure with multiple environments (dev, staging, production), 1 to 3 months depending on team maturity.
  • What if the whole infrastructure collapses?
That's the whole point. With scripted infrastructure (Terraform or similar), I can rebuild it in a few hours on another cloud or datacenter. Without, it can take days or weeks. Backups are tested regularly and protected against ransomware.
  • Who manages infrastructure once setup is complete?
Three options: you (with training and complete documentation), me (monthly or annual maintenance contract), or a mix. Choice depends on your team and preferences. In any case, the infrastructure is fully documented so no critical decision sits in one person's head.
